Juanita Maas

Juanita Maas 81, of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 23, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bob Miller, pastor of Crossroads Country Church officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Juanita was born on April 11, 1933 in Rochester to Garland and Anna Hancock. She was raised in Dalhart and graduated from Dalhart High School. Juanita was a very loving and giving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress. She made many Raggedy Ann and Andy dolls for her family and friends. She married Chuck Maas in 1951 at Clayton. He preceded er in death in 2003. Juanita is survived by three sons, Charles Alan Maas and his wife Dara and Skipp Maas and his wife Teresa all of Amarillo and David Maas and his wife April of Dumas; 6 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. The family requests memorial donations to Olivia's Angels in care of the Don and Sybil Harrington Cancer Center.
