Judy Garland Burke

Judy Garland Burke 69, of Amarillo died Monday, Oct. 16, 2017 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Monday, October 23, 2017 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St., with Dale Moreland of The Church at Quail Creek, officiating. Judy was born in Cincinnati, OH. She moved to Amarillo in 1951 from Ohio. Judy graduated from Amarillo High School in 1966. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She loved giving to others less fortunate than herself. Her children described her as a loving disciplinarian. She had a beautiful spirit and never gave up. Judy married Joe Norman Burke on May 19, 1966 in Amarillo. He preceded her in death in 2014 She is survived by 2 daughters, Lori Smotherman and her husband Keith and Maria Savage and her husband James of Amarillo; 2 sons, Michale Norman Burke and his wife Mary, both of Amarillo and Marc Anthony Burke of Watertown, SD; 1 sister, Mary Meister of Cincinnati, OH; 3 brothers, Buddy Garland and Earl Dallas both of Amarillo and Ronald Dallas of Jacksonville, FL; 7 granddaughters. Chelsea, Kellee, August, Ally, Megan, Jamie and Lexi and 3 great-grandchildren, Carliey, Cerenity and Charlie. Memorial donations may be made to the Harrington Cancer Center or Texas Oncology.
