Julio Aguilar

Julio Aguilar Gonzales, 70, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday January 19, 2016 in Amarillo. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Father Jose Gomez officiating. Burial will follow in Llano Cemetery. Rosary will be said Thursday at 6:00 pm in Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Julio was born July 30, 1945 in Durango, Mexico to Prajedis Aguilar and Alberta Gonzales Aguilar. He was raised in Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico where he met the love of his life of 51 years Eva Rocha. They moved to Amarillo in 1984 to have a better life for their children. Julio worked as a cook all his life. He is preceded in death by; his parents, a son, Manuel Aguilar, and three brothers. He is survived by his wife, three daughters, Rocio Salazar and husband Joe, and Lorena Arenivas and husband Meli both of Amarillo, Alma Guerra and husband Greg of Carlsbad, NM, two sons, Sergio Aguilar and Julio Aguilar of Juarez Chihuahua, Mexico, two sisters, Ramona Saenz of El Paso,and Paula Faragoza of Amarillo.
