June 4, 1933 — October 7, 2005

Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel with Bob Thomas, chaplain of Odyssey Healthcare officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter St. Mrs. Wheeler was born in Bonham, June 4, 1933. She lived most of her life in Amarillo. She worked as a childcare provider for Nana's Day Care for 9 years. Mrs. Wheeler watched Lakewood Church on television and was very fond of Pastor Joel Osteen. Mrs. Wheeler was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Wheeler; a son, Lloyd Wheeler, Jr.; her father, Bill Horn; her mother, Gertrude Allard; and a brother, Kenneth Horn. She loved her family and friends and will be missed by all who knew her. The family would like to thank Dr. H.G. Norrid, Dr. Benton and his staff, Dr. Wright and the Texas Tech doctors, BSA Hospital staff, Dr. McKinley, Odyssey Hospice, Texas Senior Care and 2 special friends, Dona White and Marcia Castillo. Survivors include: 4 daughters, Lana Bennett, Linda Cherry, LaJuana Albright and her husband Ken and Lisa Brown all of Amarillo, 16 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial donations to the Joel Osteen Ministries P.O. Box 4600 Houston, TX 77210
