Junior M. Varner

Junior Varner, 77 of Amarillo died Saturday June 26, 2004. Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St., Amarillo, Texas 79103 Mr. Varner was born in Cuthand, Texas. He moved to Amarillo in 1966 from Dimmitt. He worked for Wilson's Battery and Electric for 20 years as a diesel mechanic. He retired in 1991. Mr. Varner married Cleo Spencer in 1974 at Amarillo. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed playing Bingo.Survivors include: his wife of the home, 3 sons; Marcus Varner of Winchester, VA, Dean Varner on Amarillo and Ronnie Varner of San Angelo, 1 brother; Wilbert Varner of Hobbs, NM, 7 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM Tuesday
