J.W. Mcmullan

J.W. ""Dub"" McMullan 88, of Amarillo died Wednesday, April 25, 2012 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Friday at Erick Cemetery in Erick OK, with Windell Knutson pastor of First Baptist Church of McLean officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. McMullan was born in Portales, NM on April 15, 1924. He was raised in Erick, OK from the age of 5 months. He lived in Amarillo most of his adult life. J.W. worked as a painter and furniture refinisher for W.T. Cooke and Sons for 30 years. He married Billie Kestler on March 3, 1946 in Wheeler. He was a member of Bolton Street Baptist Church. Mr. McMullan is survived by his wife, Billie; 1 son, Ron McMullan and his wife, Vickie of Prineville, Ore; 1 daughter, Brenda Wade and her husband Tim, of Denton; 5 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be to the Feed the Children Ministries in care of City Church. 205 S. Polk Amarillo, Texas 79101.
