Kathryn Karlene Maness, 95, of Amarillo died Wednesday, March 3, 2021. Graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, March 8, 2021, at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests Saturday and Sunday 1-7 pm at the funeral home. Kathryn was born in Amarillo on December 31, 1925, to Prudie and Karl Walker. She was a feisty woman with a big heart. She was a strong supporting mother. She was active in PTA as well as a Cub Scout leader. Kathryn made a lot of her childrens clothing as well as her daughter's barbie doll clothes. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She would tell their friends that shes grandma to them as well. She was an amazing cook. She was an amazing cook. Kathryn attended San Jacinto Methodist Church for 32 years. She was a member of the Womens Methodist Association. She was also musically talented. She could play the piano, cello, and saxophone. Kathryn played the cello in the Amarillo Symphony and often performed for the Cattlemans Association at The Amarillo Motel. She loved fishing and camping. Kathryn is preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Rosemary Lynn Floyd, one sister, Maurene Allston, and one brother, Karl Walker. She is survived by her two daughters; Melinda and Teresa Maness, one son, Neal Maness, three grandchildren; Sean Walker, Amy Kemp and her husband Marke Shook, and Stephanie Kemp and her husband Justin Smith, three greatgrandchildren; Payton, Cuyler, and Madison, and a host of nieces and nephews.
