Kenneth Leon Fahnert

Kenneth Leon ""Gator"" Fahnert Jr., 47, of Amarillo died Friday, Nov. 10, 2006. Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Memory Gardens Cemetery Mausoleum with Dr. Dana Moore of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church officiating, and military rites by DAV Chapter 26. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Kenneth graduated from Caprock High School in 1977. He served proudly in the U.S. Army for seven years. He enjoyed the outdoors and fishing. He worked in landscaping, and especially liked building flower beds, growing roses and all types of flowers. He was a Christian. Survivors include his father, Kenneth L. Fahnert Sr., and stepmother, Marilyn Fahnert of Amarillo; his mother, Lula Belle Fahnert of Amarillo; a sister, Karen Roberts of Meade, Kan.; a brother, Kerry Fahnert of Amarillo; and several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorials be to the Front Porch Ministries, in care of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, 555 E. Hastings Ave., Amarillo, TX 79108.
