Kenneth Wayne Wallis

Kenneth Wayne Wallis, 81 of Amarillo died Wednesday August 1, 2007 at Amarillo. Services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Trinity Baptist Church with Dr. Carey Skinner officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 8310 S. Coulter St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Wallis was born in Delhi, OK. He moved to Amarillo in 1961 from Borger. He served in the Army during WWII and was discharged as a Corporal. In 1961, Mr. Wallis started Texas Electric. He retired in 1988 after selling the business to his son. He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was a master mason. He married Jeanne Lee in 1948 at Canadian. She died in 2005. He was also preceded in death by a sister; Margie Banks, and 2 brothers; Jay Wallis and Autry Wallis. Survivors include: 1 daughter; Kendra Wallis and her husband Michael Brand of Arlington, 1 son Marty Wallis and his wife Ricki of Amarillo, 3sisters; Marvella Rice of Denver, CO, Vondell Wallis of Mesquite and June Vanlandingham of Keller, 3 grandchildren; Tyson Wallis and his wife Becca of Fort Collins, CO, Megan O'Neall of Amarillo and Zoe Wallis of Arlington.
