Kent Price

Kent “Jack” Price, 82 of Amarillo died Sunday January 26, 2003 at Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Wednesday at Second Baptist Church with R.A. Tindall, Elder of Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Price was born in Maysville, OK. He moved to Amarillo 55 years ago. He founded Price Overhead Door Company in 1971. He retired in 1983. The company is now operated by his son Tony Price and his family. He married Elizabeth Graves in 1941 at Elmore City, OK. He was a member of the Carpenters Local Union # 665 and the Amarillo Primitive Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife of the home, 3 daughters; Sharon Hobbs and her husband Bill of Southlake, Lagena Welch and her husband Rick and Jackie Forbis and her husband Joel all of Amarillo, 1 son; Tony Price and his wife Claudia of Amarillo, 2 brothers; R.J Price and David Price both of Amarillo, 9 grandchildren, Cliff Hobbs and Cathy Hobbs both of Southlake, Cody Hobbs of Decatur, Greg Price of Las Vegas, NV, Justin Price, Angel Hughes, Ashley Welch, Brittni Forbis and Logan Forbis all of Amarillo and 5 great-grandchildren.
