Lanaya Rhae Carpenter

LaNaya Rhae Carpenter, 76, of Amarillo passed away on February 17, 2023. No services are scheduled at this time. LaNaya R. Carpenter was born on December 6th, 1946 in Ord, Nebraska. She spent as much time travelling as she could. As an "Army Brat", she has been to several places all over the world and has seen so many of nature's wonders. She loved horses and most animals. She enjoyed reading as much as she could, and you rarely saw her without a book in tote. She also journaled on a daily basis. She had a very well-rounded character and a spunky personality. LaNaya was smarter than any words could ever describe. She brought much insight and joy to those she interacted with. She was a very loving and gentle person who did her best to take care of everyone around her. She was very strong and wise. There are so many words, poems, sayings, and excerpts of writing we could use to describe her, but none of them seem perfect enough for her beautiful and precious soul. She will be severely missed by anyone she has ever met. Until we meet you again; fly high and do all the things you ever dreamed of or desired. We love you. Those left to cherish her memories are her sister Misty Batten and husband Gary, daughter Becky Carpenter, son Matthew Lukasiewicz and wife Beth, grandchildren Dakotah and Kile Hindbaugh, and Josh, Timothy, and Christine Lukasiewicz; great grandchildren Dustin and Cado Lukasiewicz, and many nieces and nephews.
