Larry Dale Loter, 89, of Amarillo, died on Wednesday, October 1, 2025.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, October 10, 2025, at Rector Funeral Home Chapel, 2800 S. Osage with Lennie McCay, pastor at Washington Ave. Christian Church, officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park North Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home.
Larry was born on February 25, 1936, in Childress to Sterling “Dick” Loter and Connie Burrows Loter. He had worked as a milkman, for the railroad, in heating and air conditioning, and in construction. He retired from Pantex in 1998. He enjoyed camping, riding motorcycles, tinkering in the garage, upholstery, and making knives. He was “Mr. Fix Anything” and was a jack of several trades. He loved being with family and never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling “Dick” Loter; his mother, Connie Burrows Loter; his stepmother, Deanne Loter; his wife, Frankie Loter; and a sister-in-law, Wanda Dorn.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Grant of Amarillo; two daughters, Tammy Turner and husband Chuck of Arizona and Niki Hall and husband Derek of Tulia; a son, Craig Loter of Amarillo; a sister, Sharon Lane and husband Ernest of Amarillo; a brother, Bobby Dorn and wife Paula of Childress; a grandson, Christian Loter and wife Rocio of Dallas; two granddaughters, Alyssa Cabello and husband Joshua of Amarillo and Monique Navarrete and husband Thomas of Lubbock; two great grandsons, Grayson Loter and Leo Navarrete; and Roy and Susan Parsley of Amarillo and Mona Parsley and wife Sandy Shubert of St. Louis; and four bonus grandchildren and five bonus great grandchildren.
