Laura Duede

Laura Duede 78, of Amarillo died Wednesday June 8, 2011 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Dewey Newburn member of First Assembly of God officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Duede joined her Master and Savior with rejoicing, Wednesday June 8, 2011. Mrs. Duede served her Lord and Savior for many years by teaching the beloved at churches and nursing homes. She worked as a Certified Nurses Aide. Mrs. Duede enjoyed making quilts for children's homes and spent many years taking care of the elderly. She was a member of the First Family Church. Mrs. Duede was born on March 29, 1933 in Stanhope, IA. She met her husband, Carl Duede in Minnesota. They moved to Amarillo in 1983. She cared for him until his death 1996. She was also preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Elmer L. Larson as well as her brothers and sisters. The family suggests memorial donations, in lieu of flowers to Oasis of Love Ministries, in care of First Assembly of God, 6101 Bell St. Amarillo, Texas 79109.
