Laura Laforge Post

Laura LaForge Post 52, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 29, 2021 in Amarillo. Services will be at 10am Friday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Dr. Charles Jones officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Laura was born on Nov. 7, 1968 in Peoria, IL to Richard and Mary LaForge. She moved to Amarillo in 1977 from Chillicothe, MO. Laura received her BS degree in education and taught middle school for Amarillo ISD, Canyon ISD, River Road ISD and Boy's Ranch. She loved baking and was an excellent cook. She enjoyed playing games and was very competitive. Laura also enjoyed shopping. She was a member of Trinity Fellowship Church. Laura was preceded in death by her twin sister Lisa Horner and her father. She is survived by her daughter, Sarah Post; her son Casey Cooper; her grandson, Ethan Lee Cooper; her mother Mary Steele; one brother Steven Steele, her aunt Helen Ann LaFevers; her boyfriend, Phil Wells and many extended family.
