L.D. Splawn

L.D. ""Buddy"" Splawn, 75 of Amarillo died Tuesday November 28, 2006 at Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at South Georgia Baptist Church with Bob Miller, pastor and Rev. Robert E. Field, retired Baptist minister officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Coulter Chapel 8310 S. Coulter. Mr. Splawn was born in Slaton. He moved to Amarillo more than 40 years ago from Lubbock. Mr. Splawn worked as a salesman for the Autoplex 26 years. He served in the Army National Guard. He married Jimmie Sain on May 26, 1951. Mr. Splawn was a loving husband, Dad and Papa. Survivors include: his wife of the home, 1 daughter; Cheryl Cotgreave and her husband Stan of Amarillo, 2 sons; Jerry Splawn and his wife Mary and David Splawn and his wife Cinna all of Amarillo, 1 sister; Darlene McCarthy of Amarillo, his mother in law; Martha Sain of Amarillo, 7 grandchildren; Jimmy Splawn, Kendra Brashears, Brittany Billington, Dallas Splawn, Ryan Cotgreave, Reid Splawn and Joshua Splawn, and 4 great-grandchildren; Hayden Splawn, Preslee Splawn, Breckin Billington and Ella Brashears.
