Lena P. Cox

Lena Pearl Cox, 75, of Amarillo, died Saturday, November 9, 2002 at her sons home in Martindale, Texas. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. GA Roach, pastor of Community Chapel officiating. Entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Cox was born in Vici, OK. She moved to Amarillo in 1962 from Woodward, OK. She worked as a beautician for many years, retiring in 1969. She and her husband, Ted, helped foster children for more than 20 years. She married Everett C. Sheble in 1946. He died in 1953. In 1969 she married Ted Cox. He died in 1993. Survivors include: 2 sons, Everett C. Sheble, and Matt Sheble both of Martindale, TX; 1 step-son, Bill Cox of Mesquite; 3 sisters, Lucille Howland and Clara Mansfield both of Woodward, OK, and Ann Oard of Abilene; 2 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild.
