Lena Marie Howell

Lena Marie Howell 87, of Amarillo died Wednesday, January 8, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery North Mausoleum with Bobby Giles officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Marie was born on Sept. 20, 1926 in Memphis to Marvin Braddock and Willie Mae Martin. Upon her mothers death, she acquired a wonderful step-mother, Vira. Marie married Winfred Howell on February 6, 1946. She worked as a unit clerk and St. Anthonys Hospital and Northwest Texas Hospital. Marie was a wonder mother. She enjoyed life. Especially her family and friends. She was a resident of Ussery-Roan Texas State Veterans Home for the last 9 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother, her husband and a son. Marie is survived by 2 daughters and their husbands, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
