Leo Folkner

Leo Folkner, 67, of Amarillo died Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 10:00 AM Saturday at St. Marys Catholic Church with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery at a later time. Cremation was under the direction of Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Folkner was born in Dodge City, KS. He moved to Amarillo in 1948 from Washington. He married Jeanne Brown in 1959 at Amarillo. He worked as a painting contractor, retiring in 2002. He was a member of St. Marys Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife of the home, 2 daughters, Donna Schulte of Rowlette, TX, and Deanna Saavedra of Amarillo; 1 son, Dean Folkner of Amarillo; 1 sister, Dolores Austin of Amarillo; 1 brother, Lowell Folkner of Amarillo; and 5 grandchildren.
