Leroy 'Boo' Wells Jr

Leroy "Boo" Wells Jr, 38, of Amarillo passed on March 20, 2023. The family will receive guests at Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage, on Friday, March 31, 2023 from 5pm to 7pm. A celebration of Leroy's life will take place at the Canyon Community Center, 300 16th St in Canyon, TX on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10am with Pastor Howard Morris of 6th Ave. Church of Christ of Canyon presiding. Boo was born February 17, 1985, in Amarillo, Tx. to Leroy Sr and Felicia Harris. Boo loved pitbulls, music and making people laugh. He was usually smiling and enjoyed spending time with people. He loved ATVs and classic cars also. He never met a stranger and would friend anyone. Boo is preceded in death by his Dad, Leroy Wells Sr. and grandparents: Shirley "Granny" Rhodes, Joe "Pawpaw" Harris and Penny & Opal Wells. Survived by his Mamma, Felicia Dowdy, and husband Don. Two daughters and one son, Kayla "KK" Wells, Jaylee Wells and Victor Jones. Two brothers and one sister. Roy Wells, and wife Sameatra of Carthage, Tx. Rodney Wells, and wife Leticia of Queen City, Tx. Sasha Key, and husband Ira of Amarillo, Tx.; step-brother Morgan Dowdy, and step-sister Candice Shafer and husband Eric all of Amarillo, Tx. Boo was also survived by two nephews, five nieces as well as host of uncles, aunts, and cousins.
