Letha Amerson

Letha W. Amerson 81, of Amarillo died Tuesday, September 18, 2012 in Plano. Graveside services will be at 4:00 PM Friday at Memorial Park Cemetery with Dale Moreland, associate pastor of The Church at Quail Creek officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Amerson was born in Las Animas, CO. She lived in Amarillo most of her life. She worked at Northwest Texas Hospital in data processing for several years. She retired in 1995. She moved to Plano in April of 2011. Mrs. Amerson was a member of The Church at Quail Creek. She loved children and was active with the Mother's Day Out Program. She also enjoyed quilting. She was preceded in death by her husband Joe Amerson in 1989, 1 brother and 5 sisters. Mrs. Amerson is survived by her daughter, Deborah K. Oliver and her husband Ken of Frisco; her son, James Amerson and wife Jana of Amarillo, 2 brothers, Luther Albert Worley of Sunsites, AZ and Ernest Everett Worley of Arlington; 1 sister, Hattie Brandon of Tulare, CA; 5 grandchildren, Matt Amerson, Brian Oliver, Melissa Oliver, Michael Faris and Jessica Farris; 6 great-grandchildren
