Lewie Preston Mckinley

Lewie Preston McKinley 53, of Amarillo died Friday, April 7, 2017 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Thursday, at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Alan Williamson, chaplain at Park Central officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Lewie was born on December 20, 1963 in Amarillo to Joe and Ann McKinley. He married the love of his life, Debbie Compton on March 1, 1985. Lewie worked at the VA Hospital for over 15 years. He loved taking care of his dogs. He was a loving husband, Dad, PaPa, brother and uncle. Lewie was deeply loved and will be fondly remembered by his family and friends. He is survived by his wife, Debbie McKinley of the home; one son, John Compton and wife, Donna of Conroe, TX; two daughters, Patricia Baucom and husband, Trey of Amarillo and Whitney Booker and husband Henry of Amarillo; three sisters, Helen Belcher, Ellen Moody and Peggy Voth all of Amarillo; two brothers, Joe McKinley of Amarillo and Sammy McKinley of Iowa point, KS; his grandkids that he loved so much, Melody, Joseph, Malasia, Makenna, Willow, Jordyan and Gracelyn and many nieces and nephews.
