Lila Jo 'Jodi' Draper

Lila Jo "Jodi" Draper, 84, of Amarillo died Wednesday, June 28, 2017. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, June 30, 2017 in Llano Cemetery with Cliff Cole, son in law, officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Lila Jo "Jodi" Draper was born Dec., 8, 1932, in Mangum, Okla. She moved to Amarillo in 1964 from Mangum. Mrs. Draper worked at several jobs before becoming a full-time homemaker. While in Oklahoma, she enjoyed calling square dances. She was an avid reader and was the family comedian and adored her children. Lila married her husband Tommy Draper in in 1951 at Wellington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tommy Draper in 2003 and a son, Brian D. Draper in 1984. Survivors include her sons, Bruce W. Draper of Amarillo and Breck T. Draper and wife Jamie of Irving; her daughter, Shelley Cole and husband Cliff of Arlington; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. The family suggest memorials be to Amarillo Society of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, 11901 S. Coulter St., Amarillo, TX 79119; or Wounded Warriors Project.
