Lillie Mae Williams

Lillie Mae Williams, 94, passed away in Denver, Colorado on Wednesday May 7, 2008. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at the First Baptist Church of McLean. Interment will be at Hillcrest Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Williams was born February 27th, 1914 in Endee, New Mexico to Walter and Merlie Pharis. The family moved to Wheeler County, Texas 1919 where she met and married Howard Williams in 1936. In 1941, Howard and Lillie moved to McLean where they owned and operated Williams Appliances for 38 years. Lillie Mae was a long time resident of McLean, Texas and a member of the First Baptist Church in McLean for 59 years before moving to Denver in 2000. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard Williams in 1997, two brothers, two sisters and her mother and father. She is survived by two sons, Charles Williams of Atlanta, Georgia; and Larry Williams of Denver, Colorado and two granddaughters, Erica Williams-Dezman and Karen DiPiero. Viewing will be from 12:30 PM 7:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home and from noon to 1:00 PM Monday at the church.
