Linda Kay Smith

Linda Kay Smith, 56 formerly of Amarillo died Wednesday September 3, 2008 in Wichita, KS. Services will be at 2:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Bill Harrison, pastor of Mt. Vernon Church of God in Wichita, KS and Joe Merrell, pastor of First Baptist Church in Erick, OK officiating. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Smith was born in Memphis. She lived in Amarillo more than 25 years before moving to Wichita in 2000. She was a homemaker and a member of Mt. Vernon Church of God in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Smith in 2001. Survivors include: 1 son Kevin R. Knox and his wife Robin of Haysville, KS; 1 daughter, Amy Gallmeier and her fiance, Mike Holford of Kingman, KS; 3 brothers, Tommy Moore of Phoenix, AZ, Robert Moore of Panhandle and William Moore of Amarillo; 3 sisters, Wanda Davis of Lubbock, Judy Clark of Wellington and Janie Welch of Amarillo; 5 grandchildren, Megan, Kayla, Emily, Kristy and William. The family suggests memorial donations to Mt. Vernon Church of God, 3115 E. Mt. Vernon Wichita, KS 67218.
