Lola Loraine (Willert) Nemeth of Amarillo, TX passed away unexpectedly on September 10, 2017 at age 75. She was preceded in death by her father, Harold Willert, and husband, B.J. Nemeth. Lola is survived by her mother, Leona Willert, of Zumbrota, MN. She was the middle of three children, her older sister Catherine (Wayne) Radke of Zumbrota, MN and younger sister Marla (Dean) Haley of Maplewood, MN, along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. Of utmost importance in her life was the love of her "adoptive" Amarillo family - Bobby, Geri, Terry, and their father Robert Fulton. She cherished her supportive church friends, as well as many friends whom Lola lovingly referred to as her Texas family. Lola graduated from Owatonna High School in 1959, however Lolas love for travel soon had her on the road and working across the southern United States. Lola worked in food services her entire career and retired from Coca Cola Refreshments. Food service gave her a chance to interact and befriend many different people. Many describe her as one who brought humor into their lives. Lola will be remembered for her energy, kindness, hard work, and opinions, as well as her ability to get in the last word. A private interment will be at Garden of Gethsemane at Llano Cemetery on Friday, September 22nd at 3pm. A public Celebration of Life memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 24th at Community of Grace Church, 1525 N. Grand St, Amarillo, TX, at 2 pm. The celebration will be followed by dessert, another thing Lola loved. In lieu of flowers, donations to the American Red Cross or Salvation Army designated to assist Texas families with Hurricane Harvey recovery, are preferred.
