Lou Ellen Wood Barnes

Lou Ellen Wood Barnes, 89 of Amarillo died Monday May 19, 2003 at Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Chapel with Carl Birdsong and Delbert Stewart officiating. Interment will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Mrs. Barnes was born in Quail. She moved to Amarillo in 1952 from Wellington. She worked as a sales person for Avon for more than 40 years. She married Floyd Rudell Wood in 1931 at Hollis, OK. She married William H. ""Bill"" Barnes in 1965 at Clovis. Survivors include her husband of the home, 2 daughters; Joyce Williams and Vicky Harris both of Amarillo, 2 sons; Tommy Wood of Mesquite and Ronn Wood of Amarillo 9 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
