Louis Ortiz

Louis Ortiz, Sr. 72 of Amarillo died Sunday, July, 10, 2022 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11 am Wednesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Deacon Tino Frausto officiating. Graveside services will be at 3 pm Wednesday at Resthaven Cemetery in Quitaque. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Louis was born on June 27, 1950 in Sandia. He moved to Amarillo in 2004. Louis worked as a farmer in Tulia and Quitaque, most of his life. He married Margarita Trancoso in 2009 in Beaumont. Louis enjoyed doing yard work and was a very giving person. He loved helping others. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Louis was preceded in death by his parents, Feliciano "Felix" and Dolores (Leal) Ortiz, four brothers, Severiano, Armando, Felix and Joe and one sister Angie Moreno. He is survived by his wife; four sons, Louis Ortiz, Jr. and his wife Isabel, Jason Ortiz and his companion Princess Lewis, Sam Casillas and Jim Casillas and his wife CeCe; five daughters, Jenifer Palomo and her husband Jose, Yolanda Ortiz and her husband Sam, Frances Cruz and her husband Frank, Connie Netro and her husband Fidel and Mary Cruz and her husband, Julio; three step-sons, Jose Juan Ruiz, Jose Manuel Trancoso and Miguel Angel Corrion; one step-daughter, Emily Isabel Trancoso; 34 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 9 Great-great-grandchildren as well as a host of extended family.
