Luis Gilbert Bermudez

Luis Gilbert Bermudez 56, of Amarillo died Sunday, February 10, 2013 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 12:00 Noon Friday at St. Laurence Cathedral with Father Felipe Morantez officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mr. Bermudez was born in Durango, MX. He moved to Amarillo in 1973 from Mexico. He received a masters degree in electrical engineering from WTAMU. Mr. Bermudez worked in the IT department at ConAgri Foods in Dumas until he retired due to his failing health. Mr. Bermudez was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a member of St. Laurence Cathedral He is survived by his wife, Virginia of Amarillo; 4 sons, Joel I. Gonzalez, Gilberto Bermudez and Juan M. Bermudez all of Amarillo and Hector Morales of Marshall, MN; 2 daughters, Minerva Rojas of Amarillo and Julia Isabell Bermudez of Torren, Coahuila, MX; 1 brother, Juan Manuel Herrera of Amarillo and 13 grandchildren The family requests memorial donations to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation 6931 Arlington Rd.
