Luis Fernando Duran Pena

Fernando Luis Duran Pena 55, of Amarillo died Friday May 18, 2012 in Chihuahua, MX. Rosary will be recited at 6:00 PM Tuesday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Mr. Duran was born on June 13, 1956 in San. Fco de Conchos Chih, MX. He moved to Amarillo in 1989 from Liberal KS. Mr. Duran was a loving husband, son, father and grandfather. He was an avid outdoorsman and loved to fish. Mr. Duran also loved farming and ranching. He was a great mentor to his children and loved working hard. He married Maria Manriquez on April 8, 1975 in Mexico. He was preceded in death by his mother, Consuelo Duran in 2009. He was a member of the Catholic Church. Mr. Duran is survived by his wife, Maria, 1 son, Luis Fernando Duran, Jr. of Amarillo; 4 daughters, Jesabel Ramirez of Amarillo, Araceli Guillen of Dumas, Annabel Chaparro of Odessa and Luisa Fernanda Duran of Mexico; 2 sisters, Guadalupe Garcia and Veronica Duran both of Amarillo; 3 brothers Manuel Duran, Sergio Duran and Francisco Duran all of Amarillo; his father, Esteban Duran of Amarillo and 13 grandchildren.
