Lynda Sue Blackwell

Lynda Sue Blackwell, 78, of Amarillo died Friday, January 28, 2022. The family will host a memorial service at 2:00 pm Friday, February 4th at Golden Plains Church of Christ(4700 W. I-40 79106) officiated by Minister Ben Mereness. Arrangements and cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. Lynda was born in Fort Oglethorpe Ga. On October 6, 1943, to Duward and Jean Jones. Lynda was the most kind-hearted soul. She was very selfless, always putting others before herself. Lynda married the love of her life, Frank on June 17, 1960. They grew up together in the North Amarillo Church of Christ. Lynda was always worried about Frank. She made sure he was always taken care of. She also made a point to call her children and grandchildren to check on them. She enjoyed quilting, crocheting, embroidering, and sewing.
