Lynn Mccoy

Lynn McCoy 77, of Amarillo, died Saturday, February 4, 2017 in Amarillo. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, February 8, 2017 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Sheryl Brown, chaplain of Racers for Christ officiating. Military honors will be by Volleys for Veterans. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Lynn was born in Perry, OK on August 3, 1939 to Bob and Alma McCoy. He was raised in Pampa and served in the United States Navy. Lynn moved to Amarillo in 1992. He retired from the Texas Dept. of Criminal Justice as a sergeant and several years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Jaycee's and the Pampa Masonic Lodge. Lynn married Linda in 1988 in Pampa. He was preceded in death by one son, Randall James McCoy. He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Misti McCoy Rel of Houston and Keely McCoy of Amarillo; four sons, Robert Lynn McCoy of Fountain, CO, Steven McCoy, Jerad Stone and Shelby Stone all of Amarillo; one brother, Roy McCoy of Colorado Springs, CO; two sisters, Lucille Shelton of Pasadena and Verna Butler of Middleton, TN; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
