Lynn Barnell Pearcy

Lynn Barnell Pearcy, 74 of Amarillo died Sunday, January 27, 2013 in Amarillo. Memorial services will be at 2:00 PM Tuesday at South Georgia Baptist Church with Bo Miller officiating. Cremation and arrangement are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Lynn Barnell Pearcy was born September 30, 1938, in Abilene, and walked into the hands of our father on January 27, 2013. He was the son of Tommy and Ola Pearcy. He saw the world while he served in the United States Navy from 1957 to 1967. Lynn married Janice Keeton on April 15, 1976. He received his Associates Degree in Commercial Electronics from Amarillo College and retired from Texas Tech Health Science Center 2002. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, father, step father, grandfather and great-grandfather who always loved a good argument. He loved design so much that he had one of his designs built into a new home for his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Don (Levi) and his brother, Gene Pearcy. He is survived by his wife, Jan, children, Clint of Claude, Texas, Daughter Bethany House and her husband Zack of Dallas, Texas, step-children Dan Pearcy of Newport, Washington, Diane Pugh of Berthoud, Colorado, and Dale Pugh of Tillamook, Oregon, sisters Lee Cox of Anchorage, Alaska and Priscilla Ghast of Amarillo, Texas, as well as granddaughter Jenny Becker and her husband Marlow of Amarillo, two beautiful great-granddaughters, Ocean and Breezlien and many nieces and nephews.
