Mac Richard 'Sid' Harper

Memorial service will be 3:00 PM Tuesday October 24, 2017 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. followed by graveside services to be held at will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home. Mac "Sid" Harper of Amarillo, TX passed Tuesday October 17, 2017. He was born in Chillicothe, TX November 26, 1929 by N.J. and Nell Harper. He lived in Amarillo most of his life where he worked at Southwestern Bell for 37 years. Sid was a special person with a big heart who never met a stranger. He was outgoing and loved by everyone he met. Sid had a way of making everyone feel important and loved. He is survived by his son Terry Castleberry and his sister Betty Scruggs of Amarillo, TX. He was also survived by his dear friend Katie Haggerman. He was proceeded in death by his two sons Timmy Harper and Tommy Castleberry. He was a loving father, son, husband, brother, and friend.
