Macy Katelyn Slagle Flores Macy was born in Amarillo, Texas on June 28, 1993. She was a pure gift of God. She was extremely artistic and athletic. She went after every goal with great enthusiasm. If you knew Macy, you knew great passion. Growing up, she was in gymnastics, Amarillo College Fencing and then Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. She graduated with an Associates Degree in Sports and Exercise Science from Amarillo College and was working on a Bachelors degree from Texas Tech. She married Anthony Flores on June 11, 2016 and they have a beautiful son, Mateo Kai Flores. He was born on March 27, 2018 and was the light of Macys life. He has her beautiful smile and a contagious zeal for life. Her sweet baby will carry on her legacy. Most importantly, Macy accepted the Lord as her Savior and was baptized on October 16, 1999. We know without a doubt that she is present with our precious Lord. There is no more sorrow or sadness for our sweet girl. Macy is survived by her husband, Anthony Flores, son, Mateo Flores, step-daughter, Anberlin Flores, parents Stephen and Connie Slagle, brother Jadon Slagle, sister, Abby Slagle, mother-in-law, Nancy Flores, father-in-law, Eddie Flores, sisters-in laws, Alicia, and Stephanie and her family. She has been blessed with a great many aunts and uncles and cousins that loved her dearly and poured themselves into her life. She also leaves her birth mother, LaDonna Martin, and birth brothers, Josh, Adam, Noah, and Hogan. She had a so many friends that loved her with all of their hearts. Macy touched so many lives in her 25 years. We are so grateful, honored and humbled at the outpouring of love and support from our family and friends. Thank you all so much. Our hearts are full of so many memories and good times. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold with my righteous right hand. Isaiah 41:10. We know that God is near to the broken hearted and His promises are true. Blessed are those that mourn, for they shall be comforted. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 15, 2018, at Cross Pointe Church in Amarillo, at 2:00 P.M.
