Manuel 'Sapo' Ibarra

Manuel "Sapo" Ibarra, 41, of Amarillo died, Tuesday, November 15, 2022. Funeral Service is 1:00 pm Monday, November 21, at Pray Amarillo (4000 SW 50th Ave) officiated by Damein Miller and associate pastor Thomas Miller. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Sunday 1-7 pm at the funeral home. Manuel was born in Amarillo on June 12, 1981, to Jose Ibarra and Teresa Chavez. He had a fun and loving personality that lit up the room. Manuel never met a stranger. He treated everyone like family, which was great because he always made himself at home. His heart was full of love. He was constantly giving, caring, and always willing to help. Manuel was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan, and very passionate about his Impala SS. His car was his baby and enjoyed cruising around town with music bumping and showing off his rims. He loved working on cars and gambling. There wasnt anything on a car he couldnt fix. Manuel was very intelligent and never backed down from a challenge. He also loved his pit bulls. Manuel was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Maria Sosa, grandmothers, Susie Sosa and Josefina Chavez, grandfather, Alfonso Ibarra, step-grandmother Juanita Mirelez, and a father figure, Joe Leon. He is survived by his mother, Teresa Chavez, and her husband Tony, his father, Jose Ibarra Sr., his daughter, Alissa Ibarra, two sons; Fernando Ibarra and his wife Stacy Aguilar, and Kadin Ibarra, two granddaughters, Iris Ibarra and Lana Aguilar, one grandson, Fernando Ibarra, and one grand baby on the way, two sisters; Ciara Ibarra and her husband Steven Vinson and Thera Sanchez and her husband Tim, one brother, Anthony Chavez, three nieces, Parker Vinson, Olivia Vinson, and Emilia Sanchez, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
