Marcos G. Carranza 76, of Amarillo died Saturday, March 7, 2020 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 2:00 pm Wednesday at Llano Cemetery. memorial services will be at 2:00 pm Saturday at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, Manhattan Congregation, 1717 S. Manhattan St., with Gabriel Macias officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Marcos was born on October 26, 1943 in Santa Clara, Durango, Mexico to Francisco and Juana (Gonsalez) Carranza. He enjoyed reading the Bible and preaching about his beliefs and God Jehovah. He was friendly and outgoing. He enjoyed meeting people and had many friends. Marcos worked as a farmer and loved animals. He enjoyed being outdoors. He also worked at Tyson. Marcos was very fond of his grandchildren and always had snacks for them. He married Manuela Friare on December 12, 1974 in Chicago, IL. He is survived by his wife, one son Francisco Carranza and his wife Gricelda of Amarillo; three daughters, Aide Carranza, Rosa Balli and Juana Carranza and her companion, Javier Sanchez all of Amarillo and seven grandchildren.
