Margaret E. Soderberg

Margaret E. Soderberg, 95 of Amarillo died Friday October 17, 2008. A gathering of friends will be at 2:30 PM Monday at the Continental Retirement Center. Cremation was by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, Texas. Mrs. Soderberg was born in New Castle, PA. She raised her family in Youngstown, OH. She moved to Tucson, AZ in 1968 where she worked as a secretary for many years. After her retirement, Mrs. Soderberg loved traveling the United States with her friends. Mrs. Soderberg was a very generous and loving person. She always enjoyed helping those in need in any way she could. Mrs. Soderberg moved to Amarillo in 2003 and became a beloved member of the Park Central Community. She dearly loved her family and will be deeply missed by them. She married Carl Soderberg in 1962 at Youngstown. She was preceded in death by her husband in 1980 and a grandson, Justin Reed in 1985. The family would like to say a heartfelt ""Thanks"" to the staff and many cherished friends of the Park Central Community for the loving care they so graciously gave to their mother and grandmother. She is survived by 2 daughters, Shirley Reed of Canyon and Jan Carter of Portland, OR; 4 grandchildren, Cindy Arney, Kim Fitzsimmons, Bill Ferguson and Lance Reed; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
