Maria Dulia Aranda

Maria Dulia Aranda, 83, of Amarillo went to be with her Heavenly Father on Monday, November 18, 2013 in Amarillo, surrounded by her family. Memorial Service will be held at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel today November 20 at 7:00 pm with Alfonso Mejia from Iglesia Bautista Shalom. Services and Cremation are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Maria Aranda was born on February 8, 1930 in San Benito, Texas to Trinidad and Bertha Rodriguez. She lived in Dimmit for many years until moving to Amarillo in 2000. She married Pedro Aranda, Jr. in San Benito in 1949. Maria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and was a member of Iglesia Bautista Shalom. Mrs. Aranda was preceded in death by her parents, one son and two brothers and two sisters. Maria is survived by her husband, 2 sons Juan Aranda of Santa Rosa, Texas, and Pete Aranda III of Harlingen, Texas. 2 daughters Estela Flores of Amarillo and Dulia Perez of Dimmit. 4 brothers Jose F. Rodriguez, Juan Manuel Rodriguez, Andres Rivas of CA, Placido Rivas of Rio Grande Valley, TX, 4 sisters Maria Emelia Garza, Rosa Rodriguez of San Benito, TX, Antonia Rivas Garza of Austin, and Elena Rivas of CA, 11 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren
