Maria Elia Garcia De Esparza 68, of Amarillo died Tuesday, June 9, 2020 in Amarillo. Rosary will be at 6 pm Thursday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11 am Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church with Fr. Jose Gomez, celebrant officiating. Burial will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Maria was born on July 12, 1951 in Fresnillo, Zacatecas, MX. She moved to Amarillo in 1980 from Juarez, MX. Maria was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a selfless person and enjoyed cooking and caring for her family and friends. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. She married Armando Esparza on March 31, 1977 in Juarez. Maria is survived by her husband; one daughter, Rosa Carrasco and her husband Javier; three sons, Joe Esparza, Oscar Esparza and Daniel Esparza and his wife Isabel; three sisters, Socorro Garcia, Esperanza Garcia e Riestra and Isela Garcia; five brothers, Luis Garcia, Jesus Garcia, Rafael Garcia, Alfredo Garcia and Roberto Garcia; 13 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorial donations to the Our Lady of Guadalupe Church Building Fund.
