Maria S. Mendoza 80, of Amarillo died Monday, May 9, 2016 in Amarillo. Rosary will be at 5:00 PM Sunday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 2:00 PM Monday, May 16, 2016 at St. Laurence Catholic Church with Fathers, Antonio, Ron and Felipe, celebrants officiating. Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Maria was born in Mexico. She was an elementary school teacher for many years. She was a member of St. Laurence Church, the Catholic Charismatic Group and the Guadalupanas. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carlos in 2001. Survivors include four sons, Carlos, Ricardo, Jay and Albert; one daughter, Gracie; 5 grandchildren, Ericka, Robert, Richie, Charlie, Gabriel and Aiden and 6 great-grandchildren, Brayden, Isaac, Alexis, Jamel, Jeryanna and Breyson.
