Maria DelaLuz Perez 84, of Amarillo died Saturday, August 5, 2017 in Amarillo. Rosary will be said at 6:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel and Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Msgr. Harold Waldow officiating. Interment will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Maria was born on October 25, 1932 in Saltillo, Coahuila, Mexico. She moved to Amarillo in 1978 from McAllen. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Laurence Catholic Church. Maria married Santos Perez in 1953. He preceded her in death in 1996. She is survived by one daughter, Francisca Martinez of Amarillo; four sons, Emilio Perez of Donna, Santos Perez, Jr., Carlos Perez and Jose Perez all of Amarillo; two brothers, Gonzalo Torres and Gustavo Torres both of Mexico; 21 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
