Maria Ignacia Rangel

Maria Ignacia Rangel, 63, of Amarillo died Saturday, November 26, 2022. Mass of a Christian Burial is at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 1st at Blessed Sacrament officiated by Fr. Nicholas Gerber, Burial will be at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage. The family will receive guests for visitation Tuesday 2-8 pm, visitation 12-6 pm Wednesday, rosary is Wednesday 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Maria was born in Rodeo Durango, Mexico on July 31, 1959, to Santiago Ramos and Catalina Madina. She moved to the United States in the late 70s. She was introduced to the love of her life Jose through the family. They married in 1976. She was a very sweet and caring soul who always took care of others ahead of herself. She enjoyed her telenovela, shopping, and cooking. Maria always made sure her family was fed. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. Maria was preceded in death by her parents, and one son, Edward Rangel. She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jose Rangel, two daughters; Claudia Rangel and her Significant other Angel Prieto, Clarisa Castaneda and her husband Heriberto, one son, Rogelio Rangel and his significant other Courtney Ross, and six grandchildren.
