Mark A. Buckstead, 43 of Amarillo died Wednesday, January 8, 2003 Funeral Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at Pleasant Valley Baptist Church with Dr. Dana Moore, pastor officiating. Interment will be at Llano East Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home, 2800 S. Osage St. Mr. Buckstead was born in Holden, MO. He moved to Amarillo in 1994 from Teague, TX. He worked as an engineer for Burlington Northern Santa Fe for 10 years. He married Julia Austin-Smith in 1989 at Pound, VA. He was a member of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church. Survivors include: his wife of the home, his mother; Marjorie Buckstead of Holden, MO and 1 brother; Kevin Buckstead of Holden, MO. The family request memorial donations be to Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
