Marlene M. Mcspadden

Marlene McSpadden 72, of Canyon died Thursday Nov. 20, 2014 in Amarillo. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Loran Harper, pastor of Comanche Trail Church of Christ officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:30 PM at Dreamland Cemetery in Canyon. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Ms. McSpadden was born in Minot, ND. She moved to Albuquerque, NM and then to Amarillo in 1973. She was preceded in death by her husband Jimmy McSpadden in 1990. Ms. McSpadden was a devout Christian and had attended Comanche Trail Church of Christ until her health made it necessary to transfer her membership to Canyon Hills Church of Christ. She is survived by her fiance, Glen Franks of Canyon; 3 daughters, Kim Gibson of Blue Ridge, Sandy Ballentine of Amarillo and Jeannene Woods of Canyon; 1 son Doug Gibson of Amarillo; 9 grandchildren, Skylar, Taylor, Keri, Jimmy, Brittany, Ryan, Shayla, Misty and Jacklen. The family suggests memorial donations to Hospice Care of the Southwest, 6600 Killgore Dr. Amarillo, TX 79106.
