Marsha Kirkland

Marsha Kirkland 61 of Amarillo died Friday September 25, 2009 in Amarillo. Services will be at 12:30 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel with Joe Jernigan, pastor of Calvary Christian Church of Shamrock officiating. Grave side services will be at 4:00 PM at the Shamrock Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Marsha was born May 22, 1948 in Haskel, Texas to Herman Bell Jr. and Mary Yvonne Smith. She moved to Amarillo in 1974. She worked as a correctional officer, in the Clements unit. She also drove a truck for Plains Transportation for about several years. She married Ray Kirkland on August 20, 2000 in Amarillo. She is preceded in death by a step-son, Stephen Ray Kirkland, her step-dad Richard ""Smitty"" Smith, and one brother, Randy Brown. She is survived her husband Donald Ray Kirkland of Amarillo, her mother, Yvonne Smith of Amarillo; 1 son, Tom Madewell and his wife Sondra of Crownpoint New Mexico, a daughter Teresa and Ramon Campos of Amarillo, One step-daughter Nancy and Danny Willis of Guymon Oklahoma. 3 brothers Tommy Joe Bell, Darvin Brown and spouse Jennifer, Gary and Fancy Smith and 1 sister, Niki Ooten and husband Steve. One daughter in law Brenda Kirkland. 7 grand children, Chasity and Joseph Hobbs, Dylan Madewell, Kylie Willis, Ty Parker, Ashtin and Hope Heater. 2 twin great grand children Kenadie and Kimberlie Willis. The family suggests memorials be to Harrington Cancer Center, and BSA Hospice in Amarillo Texas.
