Martha Lou Gabel

Martha Lou Gabel, 71, of Amarillo passed away on Thursday April 23, 2015 in Amarillo. Memorial Graveside Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:00 pm in Dreamland Cemetery with Dr. Gil Lain of Paramount Baptist Church Officiating. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Martha was born on November 7, 1943 in Dallas, to George and Margie Buttram. She graduated from Tascosa High School in 1962. She married the love of her life Robert Gabel on August of 1970. Martha was a very loving mother and wife. She always put others before herself. Martha enjoyed dancing, and being an active member of The Daughters of the Nile. She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Martha will be dearly missed by her family, and all her loving friends. She is survived by: her husband, Robert Gabel, a son, Robert Gabel Jr. and his wife Shonda all of Amarillo, a twin sister, Linda Mayfield of Austin, a brother, Lee Buttram and his wife Marylou of Amarillo, two grandchildren; Breanna and Landon Gabel of Amarillo, and her two lifelong friends; Joann Ratcliff and Arlene Williams both of Amarillo. There will be a gathering of Family and Friends on Sunday April 26, 2015 at 2:00pm hosted by Robert Gabel Jr. and his wife Shonda. Please get in touch with Robert either by Facebook or Phone.
