Marvin R. Coleman, of Amarillo, died Friday April 28, 2006 in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 PM Monday at Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, with Rick Webb, Reverend of Austin, TX officiating. Interment will be immediately following the Funeral Services at Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 South Osage, Amarillo, TX. Mr. Coleman served in the United States Air Force and had a passion for flying, and air planes. He was employed at Pantex for 37 years, and loved wood working, and the outdoors. From 1978-1995, he served in Christian Relief Fund as a treasury board member, he served as an elder for 20 years at Forest Hill Church of Christ, and at West Amarillo Church of Christ until 1996. Mr. Coleman was a very dedicated man in his beliefs, nonjudgmental, and very compassionate for the needy; he was a devoted father, and a loving grandfather. Mr. Coleman is preceded in death by his parents Ray, and Garnet Coleman. Survivors include his wife, Virginia of the home; 1 daughter Teresa Milton and husband Greg of Amarillo; 2 sons Danny Coleman, and Brian Coleman and wife Danielle, both of Amarillo; 1 brother Don Coleman of Water Town, WI; 2 sisters Marlene Scott of Mt. Horeb, WI, and Doris Ehle of Oregon, WI; 7 grandchildren, Christina Peikert, Jason Endrizzi, and Ryan Endrizzi all of Amarillo; Trent Coleman and Brent Coleman both of Lubbock; and Cameron Coleman and Carson Coleman both of Amarillo. In Lieu of flowers the family asked donations be made to Odyssey Healthcare of Amarillo, 6900 I-40 West Amarillo, TX 79106, or The Alzheimer's Association Research 1400 Wallace Amarillo, TX 79109.
