Marvin Robert Fienen, 79, of Amarillo passed away on Tuesday February 16, 2016 in Amarillo. Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:30 am at Rector Funeral Home 2800 S. Osage St. Amarillo, TX with Pastor Joseph Anderjack of Prince of Peace Church officiating. Graveside will be Monday at 2:00 pm in Mount Hope cemetery in Independence, KS Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel 2800 S. Osage St. Family will receive friends from 6 to 7 on Thursday in the Funeral Home. Marvin was born March 21, 1936 in Independence Kansas. He graduated from Independence High School in 1954. He worked for Coca Cola for 34 years starting in the bottle assembly line working up to Vice President. He enjoyed woodworking making anything from crosses, cabinets to bookcases. Marvin also loved camping, gathering together with family to play card and board games and was also great at bowling. Marvin married Norma Tull on June 11, 1954 in Barrowsville, OK. They moved to Amarillo in1985. Marvin is preceded in death by a son Dale Herman Fienen and three grandsons Robert Fienen Jr., Forrest Herman Fienen and Leroy Shindler. He is survived by his wife Norma Fienen of the home, four daughters; Ellen Agosta and husband Richard of Manassas, VA., Glenda Hamaty of Amarillo, Stacy Helms and husband Brady of Pampa TX and Vickie Shindler and John Joyce of Clinton OK. a son; Robert Fienen and wife Tammy of Independence KS. Four brothers; John Fienen of Dallas TX, Norman Fienen of St. Peter, MN, Richard Fienen, and Elmer Fienen both of Independence KS. 15 grandchildren 2 step grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, and 11 step great grandchildren.
