Marvin 'Mutt' Yarber

Marvin "Mutt" Yarber 88, of Amarillo died Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in Amarillo. Entombment will be at 2pm Friday, December 18, 2020 at Memorial Park East Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Mutt was born on June 5, 1932 in Mangum, OK. He moved to Amarillo in the 1950's. Mutt worked for Panhandle Fruit for more than 30 years. He retired in 1980. He owned and operated Mutts Automotive and retired in 2003. He was always tinkering around his house and lived an active life until the very end. He married Shirley Mayrhofen on July 1, 1956 in Cheyenne. She preceded him in death in 2003. He is survived by his daughter Marvia Bales and her husband Tommy of Amarillo; three sons, Kavan Yarber and his wife Debra, Joe Yarber and his wife Leondra and Jeff Yarber and his wife Cindy all of Amarillo; one brother, Roy Joe Yarber of Amarillo; two sisters, Cookie Gilmore of Amarillo and Jerry Chism of Willow, AK; 14 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.
