Mary Ruth Gentry

Mary Ruth Gentry 96, of Amarillo died Monday, August 24, 2020 in Amarillo. Graveside services will be at 11 am Saturday, Aug. 29, 2020 at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Wellington. Arrangements are by Rector Funeral Home Osage Chapel, 2800 S. Osage St. Miss Gentry was born on January 9, 1924 in Collingsworth County to Elmer and Bula (Williams) Gentry. She graduated from Wellington High School in 1942. She moved to Amarillo in 1944 from Wellington. Miss Gentry worked as a lab technician for Franklin Laboratory for may years. She was a member of First Baptist Church. Miss Gentry was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by a special niece, Sharon Knowles of Amarillo, who cared for her for many years. Survivors include several nieces and nephews. The family suggests memorial donations to First Baptist Church.
